Analog watches will always look better than a digital readout.
But do you know what else is stylish? Discretion. Pulling out a chirping phone in the middle of a meeting does not a gentlemanly swagger make.
The new smartwatch by Skagen provides an interesting remedy to this. How? With their Signatur Hybrid, a line of analog-looking timepieces that sync to your smartphone and send alerts by signaling four color-coded secondary dials on the left side of the watch face.
It pairs your phone and watch via an app, and you can program the hands with different colors to subtly signal receipt of calls, texts, emails — you name it. The watch uses a coin-cell battery, so there’s no need to charge it. There are a ton of face and band options to choose from, and at just $175-195, the price is very, very right.
