Nikki and Brie Bella have returned to WWE action after a sabbatical, and the Bella Twins continue to make wrestling history. The rise of Nikki and Brie over the past five years has forced the WWE to recognize women’s wrestling as the powerhouse that it is. In large part because of the Bellas’ popularity, the wrestling conglomerate will host “WWE Evolution” on October 28, the first all-female pay-per-view event in the company’s history.
The Bella empire has grown exponentially over the years. They currently have close to 20 million combined followers across the major social media platforms and sport a combined net worth of about $10 million. The success of Total Divas led to Total Bellas, the E! reality show chronicling the twins’ lives. They’ve also started producing their own wine vintage, Belle Radici, which sold out its first run of bottles in 36 hours.
“WWE Evolution” will be a career landmark for the Bellas, who bear much responsibility for the company’s recent decision to increase the spotlight on women’s wrestling. “The women before me, the women of my era, the women now, we all have worked so hard to get to that place and to get women to be just as important as the men in this industry. Nothing is better than to have a comeback now,” Nikki Bella told Cosmopolitan.
