Actor Alec Baldwin was arrested Friday for assault related to an issue over a parking spot in New York, police report. NYPD Lieutenant John Grimpel told CNN that the incident occurred on 10th Street in Manhattan, but did not provide more details. Bushwick Patch writes that Baldwin punched a man over a parking spot.
Baldwin is currently in custody at the 6th precinct and charges are pending.
The actor is known for portraying Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live.

He also hosts a Sunday talk show on ABC called The Alec Baldwin Show. He was arrested in 2014 for disorderly conduct and was acquitted in a battery case involving a New York Daily News photographer in the 1990s.
