As Oscar nomination day looms on Tuesday, the Screen Actors Guild announced its own winners Sunday at the 24th Annual SAG Awards in Los Angeles. The guild’s top prize, best performance by a cast in a motion picture, went to Golden Globe-winner Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Paired with a win in the best actress category for Frances McDormand and another in the best supporting actor category for Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards’ best picture win makes it the current frontrunner for the Academy Awards. In non-Three Billboards news, Gary Oldman took home best actor for Darkest Hour and Allison Janney secured the best-supporting actress prize for I, Tonya. The casts of This Is Us and Veep prevailed in the TV category, winning best performances by an ensemble in a drama series and in a comedy series, respectively.
