You’ll enter through a dramatic, six-floor atrium stacked on cast-iron columns before cruising past a handsome art installation called “New York Night.” From there, you’ll contemplate new rugs and explore gardens before taking a glass elevator up to the Rooftop Restaurant and Wine Terrace.

RH Modern

RH Modern is the retail giant’s foray into the modern design market. Their latest wares include foundational pieces from a global roster of talent, including John Birch’s I-Beam Collection (think heavy, minimalist tables for every situation) and the Live-Edge Collection (farm-style tables, cabinets and console made from reclaimed Russian oak). That is, if you can make it past The Cloud, which touts itself as the world’s comfiest sofa. Beware.
New York Night by Alison Berger
Every floor
Along your way to pick up a conversation-worthy rug or hanging planter, you’ll ascend a grand double staircase illuminated by this fantastical art installation. You’re looking at Alison Berger’s “New York Night”, composed of 120 hand-blown crystal teardrop pendants cascading some 90 feet through the six-story staircase. Each piece glows with an amber light that reflects the symphony of street lights that pass through the windows.
Rooftop Park & Restaurant

Open year-round, this hideaway is serving up a seasonal menu amid glimmering crystal chandeliers, Japanese wood-box hedging and pleached London plane trees. Snag an espresso and a pastry or — more likely — a vino and enjoy a semi-al-fresco haven set to the tune of trickling fountains. Try the massive Turkey Club paired with a glass of rosé. You can’t lose.
