A Streetcar Named DeathKart

Looks like a clunker, but it's far from being one

Never met him, but we doubt Mike Perez is a man who minces words.

Perez owns a place called Speed Warhouse that builds things called DeathKarts. To clarify, that’s not an “E” missing from Warhouse.

Using a ’91 Nissan 240SX as his motorized muse, Perez powered the one-of-a-kind DeathKart  with a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine packing 550 ponies. The garage added a fuel injector and pump as well, then finished the stripped-down beauty with a set of Super Swamper Tires for drifting.

And, just in case you were doubting the car’s ability to star alongside Charlize Theron in another Mad Max film, Perez stuck a .50 caliber machine gun on its passenger seat.

“The fun part about DeathKart is it’s relaxing,” Perez told Super Street. “It allows you to just do things and execute in whatever fashion that’s available. Sometimes the crude way or mistakes add more character.”

Hey, we’re all for building character.
