If you could time travel to any point in history, where would you go?
For the muscle-car enthusiasts out there, driving a brand new 1967 Shelby GT500 off the lot sits somewhere near the top of the list. But thanks to Revology, you don’t have to wait around for Doc Brown.
The manufacturer recently unveiled their officially licensed reproduction of the classic Shelby Mustang, and purists can go cry a river, because this machine is a stone-cold stunner. Don’t tell anyone it’s not authentic, and they probably won’t be any the wiser.
Of course, the various upgrades (like remote keyless entry and Bluetooth audio) might tip people off. But the steel body is Ford-approved and keeps in line with the iconic design, right down to the Shelby and GT500 badges. The real difference is under the hood, where you’ll find a supercharged Ford and Roush Performance 5.0L “Coyote” V8 engine. That’ll get you 600 ponies and 475 lbs.-ft. of torque — meaning Revology set out to make more than a lawn ornament.
The reproduction is available with manual or automatic transmission, but with a price starting at $219K, this is one for your Christmas list.
