Some Lucky SOB Had a $225k Custom Land Rover Built in HIs Honor

And it does 0-60 in seven seconds.

The key to any good marriage, as has been proven time and again, is compromise.

Might be the reason that when an unnamed entrepreneur’s wife suggested Roman numerals rather than digits in the name of the custom Land Rover Defender he was buying, he conceded.

Smart man.

An homage to its new owner’s birth date, the custom Project XIII Land Rover that East Coast Defender just finished is similar to the one they built for World Cup champ Alex Morgan.

Using a rare 1993 NAS model as a starting point, ECD outfitted the nine-passenger SUV with a full external rollcage, a Zunsport grille, KBX fender wings and running boards on all four doors.

Featuring a 6.2-liter Corvette Stingray V8 mated to a GM six-speed transmission that was customized to work with an illuminated LCD gear-selection push-button system, the 430-HP custom build has been upgraded to do 0-60 in seven seconds.

Sadly for the owner, the helicopter was not included in the Project XIII’s $225k purchase price.

We think he’ll get over it.
