We Approve of the Decision to Put a Corvette Engine in This Land Rover

The quilted leather seats aren't hurting its case, either

When East Coast Defender — the folks who help entrepreneurs, World Cup champs and your humble correspondents make Land Rovers into, well, crazy super deluxe Land Rovers — say they’ve got a new build, we listen.

And if you’ve got a soft spot in your heart for custom Defenders, we suggest you do the same.

Dubbed the “Project Pedigree,” ECD’s latest creation is a two-tone monster featuring custom bronze green bodywork contrasted against a classic white roof and rugged white steel wheels.

Featuring exterior updates like LED bars, a winch and a G4 roof rack with a ladder, the 430-HP model boasts puma quilted-leather upholstery and a Corvette Stingray LS3 under the hood.

“This is what our hard-core Defender enthusiasts ask for,” says ECD co-founder Tom Humble. “This build’s beautiful blend of classic styling and modern performance and comfort is what makes the truck really stand out.”

We certainly wouldn’t kick it out of the garage.
