Seventy-two.
That’s how many races the track lord Michael Schumacher won for Ferrari.
He’s regarded as one of the top Formula 1 racers of all time. And rightfully so: in 2002 alone, he graced the podium every single time he buckled in for competition.
This is one of his cars. And there’s a chance it could be yours.
And in this, Ferrari’s 70th anniversary year, the chassis 211 Scuderia Ferrari F2001 right here, victorious in the 2001 Monaco Grand Prix, is coming across the auction block at RM Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening in NYC.
Schumacher suffered a terrible skiing incident in 2013, but his legacy is unscathed. This ride is currently estimated to fetch around $4m.
But some gent with a little extra coin will be taking home a historic race-ready rocket alongside some private Ferrari perks, like an invitation to closed Corse Clienti track days.
It’s art, it’s history, it’s everything.
