It hasn’t been immortalized in song like the pink Cadillac or red Corvette, but there’s no doubt this golden Ferrari is a hit, and it’s going up for auction May 27th.
Finished by Pininfarina in 1966, this 330 GTC was the 48th of the 600 models Ferrari built and has the same 300-HP V12 engine and steel chassis as its peers. However, what separates this particular two-seat coupe from the pack is its Nocciola (hazelnut) over Beige Scuro paint job.
The Italian job spent time in Naples, Legnano, Pavia, and Venice before being sent to Philadelphia where, possibly because its owner was a delusional Eagles fan, chassis No. 08969 was refinished in green.
Following its Philly days, the 150-MPH car crisscrossed the U.S., spending time in Chicago and New York City before being sent across the pond to the UK and mercifully restored to its original shade of gold after being purchased by a Swedish billionaire.
Granted Ferrari Classiche certification because it fully conforms to its original factory specs, this 330 GTC is hitting the block for RM Sotheby’s in conjunction with the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este along the shores of Lake Como about an hour north of Milan.
If you wanna make Sotheby’s an offer, here’s where to get the process started.
