It’s been nearly a year since Kanye West’s 10-year YEEZY partnership with Gap was announced, and now the first drop from the collection has at last arrived. The inaugural release consists of a single piece, a bright blue unisex puffer jacket made from glossy recycled nylon, the same jacket spotted on West last week despite the 80-degree weather.
As expected, the ‘ROUND JACKET’ stays true to the pared back ethos of YEEZY’s design, absent of any closure, fastenings or pockets, and features a billowy silhouette that’s slightly cropped at the front, with the YEEZY Gap logo tag affixed at the neck. The jacket is currently available for pre-order for $200 and is expected to ship sometime in the fall, with “Floating Projections” accompanying the release in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere.
