Carhartt is one of the few brands that did the pivot to streetwear right. Instead of mixing their workwear classics with trendier styles, they kept them separate: old-school Carhartt under one umbrella and the hypebeast-leaning Carhartt WIP under another. Today, we’re talking about the former.
Original Carhartt has already started its Black Friday sale, offering discounts on tons of gear. The star of the sale is the Rain Defender Sweatshirt — available in three colors at 33% off — a fleece-lined zip-up layer that features a durable water repellent (DWR) treatment to keep you from getting soaked. But that’s not all.
The bulk of the sale is up to 25% off “cold-weather accessories,” which admittedly doesn’t sound very impressive, but we’re not just talking socks and underwear here (though those are included). The discounts include steel-toe boots, sweat-wicking base layers, bison-leather gloves and tons more.
