At Least the Debate Gave Us These Pulitzer-Worthy Memes of Trump and Hillary Singing Duets

"I really can't stay..." "Baby it's cold outside..."

Sunday night’s presidental debate — a town hall-style discourse intended to appeal to the miraculously plausibule “undecided” voter — wasn’t big on substance. The New Yorker’s John Cassidy went so far as to call it the “Nastiest Debate of All Time.”

Where it did excel, though, due in no small part to said nastiness: sound bites, meme-worthy video stills and further driving an ideological stake through the heart of the American populace.

Perhaps the most potent picture from the second presidential debate was Clinton and Trump staring meaningfully into each other’s eyes during, if you were watching without the volume, what could have been a heartfelt rendition of Frank Loesser’s “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (which, given the song’s undertones, represents an uncomfortably timely commentary on last week’s infamous bus video).

The star-crossed candidates also could have been singing a host of other diddies instead of debating who grabbed who by their what and why, which the internet conveniently chronicled on Twitter:
