No matter how reliable your friends are, chances are their ability to give directions — especially amid a night of carousing — might not be.
This is when Uber’s “Uber to a Person” feature will come in handy. It’s a new mark from the ride-sharing service that lets riders use a location from a friend’s phone to book a trip, instead of filling in a destination.
Designed to let riders skip the back and forth and get where they want to go ASAP, the feature lets you type a friend’s name in the “Where to?” box after your contacts are synced with the app.
Once you’ve inputted your contact, Uber will ask the friend to provide their current static location and after they do, your trip destination is set. For playing ball, your destination buds recieve ETA updates along the way.
There’s also a special Snapchat filter you can use while en route, in case you’re into that sort of thing.
It’s a brave new road out there.
