Welcome to Kind of a Big Deal, a daily roundup of great sales on the brands and items you love (tech, shoes, style, travel, etc.), as well as great new products. Please note: Deals are subject to change at the whim of the merchants mentioned.

More than 20 direct-to-consumer brands have banded together to give back to those affected by COVID-19 (while also “supporting conscious consumer spending and keeping the economy functioning”). This collective endeavor is called Brands x Better, and it means that each participating brand — including InsideHook favorites like Cotopaxi, Faherty, Greats and M.Gemi — is committed to donating 2% of gross sales or 10% of proceeds from now through May 1st to a charity of their choosing (and several brands are also offering discounts). One example: Rhone has committed 10% of proceeds to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization providing vital healthcare support across all 50 states.
