Online oddsmakers at U.S. Bookies are taking bets on who the anonymous author of the forthcoming White House tell-all, A Warning, could be. According to the Daily News, Vice President Mike Pence is the top pick.
The book, out November 19, is thought to be by the same author who penned the anonymous New York Times essay, “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration” back in September 2018. At the time, rumors swirled suggesting Pence was the author, which the vice president denied.
However, Pence has emerged as the 2-3 favorite among bettors debating the identity of A Warning‘s anonymous author. “If he’s fearing being stood down in 2020, or has presidential ambitions of his own, it makes sense with bettors for the veep to be the most likely candidate to be the explosive whistleblower,” said U.S. Bookies spokesman Alex Donohue.

Meanwhile, education secretary Betsy Devos is in second place as a 2-1 bet. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis are reportedly all 4-1 bets, while Jeff Sessions is a 5-1 pick.
First Lady Melania Trump is the black horse of the bet at 50-1, according to U.S. Bookies, odds the First Lady shares with Kellyanne Conway.
Of course, the most likely scenario is that the author of the book remains anonymous, in which case the house takes home the prize.
