Michael Jordan Slaps NBA Rookie Upside the Head for Early Celebration

At the end of last night’s game against the Detroit Piston, Charlotte Bobcats rookie Malik Monk acted like a dope.

As such, he got slapped like one … by team owner Michael Jordan.

With 0.3 of a second left, Jeremy Lamb hit a 22-foot jumper from the right corner to give Charlotte a 108-106 lead, leading Monk to run onto the court.

The referees saw the rookie’s gaffe and whistled him for a technical foul, giving the Pistons a foul shot and the ball with a chance to tie or possibly win the game.

Understandably, Jordan was none too pleased with Monk and let him know about it by smacking him upside the head with a pair of dope slaps.

Luckily for Monk, Charlotte stole the inbounds pass and escaped with a single-point win after Detroit hit a free throw.

Hornets are sixth in the East at 14–13 after Wednesday’s win.
