Radio star Howard Stern made a name for himself pushing the limits—and millions tune in to hear just that. But lately, that’s been less of the case, as Stern’s show has noticeably “matured.” What might surprise fans to learn is that there’s a woman behind his new approach.

Per the Wall Street Journal, that person is Marci Turk, the chief operating officer of Sirius XM Satellite radio operations, who is one of the shock jock’s “most trusted advisers.” Whereas Stern used to spend the majority of his show belittling D-list celebrities and hosting adult film stars, he’s now taken on a “softer” side, conducting lengthier and more serious, in-person interviews of big names in the entertainment world.

And unlike the Baba Booeys of the world (a.k.a. producer Gary Dell’Abate), Turk has not become part of Stern’s cast of characters. In fact, he rarely mentions her by name on air, though the two have been working together since 2012.

Does this spell the end of Howard Stern as we used to know him? Not quite yet. Below, listen to Stern making fun of Bill O’Reilly after his recent ouster (some of the language is NSFW).
