Like many other seven year olds, Hailey Dawson is a huge baseball fan and loves to throw fastballs. Hailey differs from other children, however, in that she was born with a disease called Poland Syndrome, and therefore is missing three fingers on her right hand.
But has Hailey ever let that stop her? No way. She now has a 3-D printed hand, controlled by fishing wire, and a dream to throw out the first pitch at every single major league stadium.
Enter Twitter. After Bleacher Report tweeted a video of Hailey’s story, explaining that she wants to throw a pitch at every ballpark, something kind of magical happened.

One after another, MLB teams saw the video and began to invite Hailey to throw the first pitch at their respective ballparks. Even minor league clubs and college teams asked for her information.

Hailey is already well on the way to completing her goal. She has thrown the first pitch at the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals’ stadiums, reports Mashable. And it seems like Twitter is really going to make sure she hits the rest.
