A new report from ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” found that a freshman on the Michigan State basketball team has been under investigation for fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct since the beginning of the fall semester. The county prosecutors are currently deliberating over whether to formally charge the player. Police records have not been made public, but ESPN found that the player, Brock Washington, who has dressed for every game of Michigan State’s season, was accused of groping another student without consent in August. The report comes at a time of immense turmoil at Michigan State, as an ESPN report last month revealed a pattern of sexual violence cover-ups on Michigan State sports teams.
