Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff was picked first in the 2016 draft and started the final seven games of his rookie season. But he lost all seven. He was 22-years-old in a city that was mostly uncaring with a coach who was inflexible, but that didn’t matter: a bust is a bust. But now, he is thirteen weeks and nine wins into year two, and even though last year didn’t go as planned, he doesn’t see this year as a revival. He sees it as him being himself again, getting back into what he knows and what he’s used to doing. People are not letting go of those seven games though, and Goff is forced to explain, again and again, what happened. So even though he’s actively shaking last year with each game he wins, he still can’t quite shake it fully.
