As was reported earlier this month, ESPN will roll with a new Monday Night Football crew of Steve Levy, Louis Riddick and Brian Griese for the upcoming NFL season.

Levy will handle play-by-play duties with Griese and Riddick, both of whom played in the NFL, providing color and analysis. The telecast will also feature Emmy-winning reporter Lisa Salters providing reports from the sidelines and officiating analyst John Parry.

“Steve, Brian and Louis are trusted voices of the NFL whose knowledge and love of football connects with fans,” said ESPN Executive Vice President of Content Connor Schell. “We are thrilled that they will join Lisa Salters to make up our new Monday Night Football team and share their passion and insight with football fans in what promises to be a great broadcast each week.”

The trio replaces the underwhelming two-man crew of Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland that ESPN deployed for its MNF broadcasts last season.

ESPN’s new broadcast team will begin the season with the Tennessee Titans at the Denver Broncos on September 14, the second game of ESPN’s annual Week 1 MNF doubleheader. The first game, Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants, will be called by veteran college football broadcasters Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.

“Chris and Kirk are commentators at the top of their game and have thrilled college football fans for many years,” Schell said. “We are looking to add new opportunities to their expansive portfolios and are confident that NFL fans will be just as excited to hear one of the most prolific broadcasting duos on Monday Night Football.”
