A lot of pressure falls squarely on the shoulders of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.
The problem is that the right shoulder, the one the $26 million-a-year QB uses to sling his passes, is surgically repaired—the result of an injury that has kept Luck out for an entire season…and counting. In March, Colts owner Robert Irsay that Luck will “throw quite a bit” during the offseason program. But the franchise’s most important player still has yet to do so.
And former Minnesota Vikings GM Jeff Diamond has noticed. “At 28, Luck has the time and talent to rekindle an outstanding career,” Diamond writes in a column for The Sporting News. “But until everyone sees him on the field throwing full throttle and leading the Colts back to the playoffs, it remains a big if.”
