Sorry Lambo, There’s a New ‘World’s Fastest SUV’ in Town

The Lister LFP will reportedly go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds

For those who know the British Lister Motor Company, it’ll mosty likely be their exquisite Jaguar-based “Knobbly” racers that come to mind.

But the marque has been less nostalgia-reliant as of late, what with the Storm supercar and LFT-666 coupe, and now they’ve decided to throw their hat into the ever-growing luxury SUV ring.

Enter the Lister LFP, an SUV based on the Jaguar F-Pace that evokes the Knobbly spirit both in the classic Lister green and yellow colorway and the race-ready specs. According to the announcement earlier this month, the LFP will churn out 670 HP and notch a blistering 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds.

Now that we have your attention, what about top speed? There’s been some surprisingly heated jockeying for the top spot in that regard (Lamborghini Urus currently sits in first place with 190 MPH), but Lister promises the LFP will best ’em all with a whopping 200 MPH red-line. Little Johnny will never be late to polo practice again!

Stepping back a moment, it is just a tiny bit funny how amped people seem to be about luxury SUV performance when a majority of people will spend less time dodging speed cameras and more time lugging bulk groceries between Costco and their second refrigerators.

But in Lister’s case, only 250 LFPs will be built, so don’t expect to pull in next to one in the parking lot.

While full details have yet to be released, the company has set a tentative base price of £140,000 (or around $184K) and is currently accepting expressions of interest.
