Google Just Launched the Internet’s Largest, Smartest Job Board

Funemployment, we knew ye too well

Starting today, the same place where you can search for the darnest things is also where you can discover some a little more important: a job.

Currently available on mobile and desktop, Google for Jobs uses an AI-powered filter to curate job search results from online job boards (LinkedIn, Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.) as well as from openings that are listed on a company’s homepage.

Once that list is generated, job-seekers can refine the results to fit what they’re looking for as well as looking at ratings and reviews from sites like Glassdoor right in the search results.

It might not be revolutionary, but Google for Jobs does save time by removing duplicate listings and categorizing them appropriately using a special machine learning-trained algorithm. Also, once Google knows exactly what you’re looking for, it can alert you when the right gig opens up.

“Finding a job is like dating,” Google’s product manager Nick Zakrasek told TechCrunch. “Each person has a unique set of preferences and it only takes one person to fill this job.”

We’re sure Google will take over the dating game eventually, but for now, if you need a job, search away.
