The talent agency UTA has severed ties with former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly following a bombshell report that he personally paid $32 million to settle a sexual abuse claim waged against him by an ex-Fox News analyst, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“Bill has already lined up new representation,” O’Reilly’s representative, Mark Fabiani, told THR in a statement. He did not specify which agency that was.
O’Reilly said on his web series Monday that he’s “mad at God” over the reports.
“I wish I had more protection. I wish this stuff didn’t happen. I can’t explain it to you. Yeah, I’m mad at Him,” O’Reilly said.
Fox News fired O’Reilly, their top-rated host on not only the network but all of cable news, following a report from the New York Times that he, Fox News and 21st Century Fox had settled with multiple women who had accused him of sexual misconduct. He says the allegations aren’t true, and his adversaries at the Times want to take him down.
“I truly believe that these people at the New York Times are out to hurt people with whom they disagree. They don’t want me in the marketplace,” O’Reilly said. “That’s what this is all about.”
