“When I die, I want to decompose in a barrel of porter and have it served in all the pubs in Dublin. I wonder would they know it was me?”

Credit that gem to Irish-American author J.P. Donleavy, who passed away last year and (hopefully) never fulfilled his wish.

But had he hooked up with Unlimited Brewing Company, he might have.

Just launched, UBC is billed as the world’s first platform for customized beer. Started last year by home brewer Neil Soni, UBC offers brew fans the chance to personalize beers from UBC’s portfolio, or design their own suds from scratch.

The company works with you every step of the way — they even have an in-house design team for your beer labels — and they’ll also deal with the non-hangover beer headaches such as regulatory approvals, bottling and delivery.

How it works: Go to the site and fill out a questionnaire — you’ll tell the company your preferred beer style (lager, IPA, etc.), how much of it you want, what it’s for (event, marketing, personal consumption) and how you want to package it (bottles, cans, kegs, etc.).

Our friends at @parkcentralny now have their own beer!

While ideal for companies, bars and branded events, there’s no real requirements here: If you’re hosting a party, wedding or just want something called “Dave’s Beer,” there’s no minimum order or reason you can’t go it alone, though prices vary by quantity.

The company currently works with a stable of brewers on the East and West Coasts (as well as the U.K.) to craft your stouts and ales. For now, the UBC can ship to most of the East Coast (sorry, Georgia), plus California, Texas, Illinois, Florida and the U.K. — blame state regulations for the exceptions. Companies that have used Unlimited Brewing include WeWork, Accenture and several hotel chains.

Like what you made? They’ll keep your personalized recipe on file for future orders.

What a time to be alive.
