In early 2017, word spread that Ford was reviving the Bronco, its highly touted SUV, with more and more details trickling out over the years. The resulting launch was as much about the lifestyle brand as it was the vehicle itself, though it certainly didn’t hurt that the new Broncos were getting high marks from automotive authorities. But now, the rebirth of the Bronco might be going to the next level, with a tacit acknowledgement of the Bronco’s distinction from the rest of Ford’s lineup.

Jalopnik reports that Ford is offering dealerships the option of creating standalone showrooms for the Broncos. According to the article, by Elizabeth Blackstock, 100 dealerships are in so far.

In the article, Blackstock points out that this is a reflection of how high demand has been for the new Broncos. She also writes that dedicated Bronco dealerships will receive “a slightly higher product allocation.”

A report from Automotive News features renderings of what the standalone dealerships might look like — an aesthetic that doubles down on an outdoors-centric, rustic mood. It looks warm and cozy inside — not traditionally attributes one associates with automotive showrooms. This initiative, which Jalopnik notes originated from dealers rather than Ford itself, suggests big things for the next generations of Broncos.
