A look at HBO’s website for Curb Your Enthusiasm reveals an impressive run so far by any show’s standards — 10 seasons, 100 episodes. (That’s a lot of enthusiasm to curb.) The show’s 11th season is currently in the works, with Richard Lewis seen on set earlier this year. But it also begs the question: will the show run indefinitely, or is there an endgame in sight?

Longtime Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star Jeff Garlin has thoughts on this, and he recently shared them in a recent interview on comedian Tim Dillon’s podcast. Writing at Mediaite, Leia Idliby offered a concise summary of what Garlin had to say. Short version: he thinks Curb Your Enthusiasm might have one more season beyond the one that’s currently in progress.

“We could maybe do one more, maybe,” Garlin told Dillon.

At the core of his thinking is the physical and mental toll of working on the show. “I don’t know if physically [David] can do more than, let’s say another season,” Garlin said. “I think he could do another, I don’t know if he has two in him.”

Garlin drew on his own experience of working on both Curb and The Goldbergs in making that assessment. At the age of 59, he called working on the shows “exhausting.” And he pointed out that David “in every scene, working every day, having to be there at 6:30 in the morning.”

One would think that only Larry David knows how — or if — Curb Your Enthusiasm will end. But his longtime co-star is likely in a better place than most to speculate about that conclusion.
