Major League Baseball is investigating one of its longtime umpires for tweeting that a civil war is on the way in the event that President Donald Trump is impeached.

Late Tuesday, MLB umpire Rob Drake tweeted: “I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020.

That tweet was preceded by another one, according to The Washington Post: “You can’t do an impeachment inquiry from the basement of Capital Hill without even a vote! What is going on in this country?”

Both tweets were deleted before screengrabs could be taken and Drake has since deactivated his Twitter account.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred told ESPN the league was “looking into” the tweet and league confirmed to USA Today that it is now investigating the matter.

Before Drake got rid of his account, USA Today reviewed other tweets Drake sent. One referenced the false claim that Barack Obama was not born in the United States and another referred to Hillary Clinton as a “f*cking liar” in reference to Benghazi.

Major League Baseball Umpires Association president Joe West, who is having a busy week as well, declined to comment on the matter when reached by phone by ESPN.

Drake has been an umpire in the majors since 1999 and was assigned to postseason games in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
