Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher have had a notoriously rough relationship over the years — one that eventually led to the breakup of Oasis in 2009 — but it appears that fans might finally have reason to be optimistic about them patching things up. As the NME reports, the pair have launched a new joint film company called Kosmic Kyte.

Both Gallagher brothers are reportedly listed as company directors for the venture, along with Alec McKinlay, who also runs Oasis and Noel Gallagher’s management company, Ignition.

There’s no word yet on what exactly their plans for the company are, though a recent tweet by Liam Gallagher led to some speculation that perhaps an Oasis biopic is in the works. (“There gonna put [me] in the movies, there gonna make a big star out of me, c’mon you know,” he wrote.)

The fact that Noel and Liam appear to be getting along well enough to go into business together is a good sign. Could it perhaps mean the two would finally be open to an Oasis reunion? Liam publicly reached out to Noel about the possibility of a 30th anniversary reunion of the legendary Britpop group back on New Year’s Eve, tweeting, “HNY Noel love you long time 2021 is our year c’mon you know.”

In February 2020, Liam was quoted as saying he was confident he could get his brother on-board for a reunion, but naturally, he had to work in a bit of a dig as well. “Believe you me – it’s gonna happen very fucking soon because he’s greedy and he loves money and he knows that it’s got to happen soon or it won’t happen,” he said.
