Comedian Seth Meyers took a serious dig at Democrats Thursday night over ongoing negotiations in Congress DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals immigration program. Senator Mitch McConnell promised to bring a vote to the floor in February on a bill that would allow DACA recipients, known as Dreamers, to stay in the United States legally. Meyers told viewers he doesn’t believe Senator Chuck Schumer when he says he’ll make sure McConnell is held accountable.
“I’m sorry, Democrats, but I just don’t trust you to hold anyone’s feet to the fire,” Meyers said. “I don’t even trust you around fire. I can’t imagine it not ending up with all your hair burned off.”
