Sean Spicer turned down an opportunity to be on Dancing with the Stars because he will have an “overwhelming number of commitments in the fall,” TMZ reports.
However, the former White House press secretary did sign with renowned attorney Bob Barnett, reports the New York Post. Barnett represents a number of top politicians and TV news personalities.
Spice signed with Barnett and Michael O’Connor of Williams & Connolly after meeting with major TV and news networks, including NBC, CBS and Fox News.
Sources say that Spicer chose Barnett, who is based in Washington, D.C., because of his record with politicians and TV correspondents. His clients include Brian Williams, Christiane Amanpour, Cynthia McFadden and Neil Cavuto. He has also represented former government officials — such as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Madeleine Albright during their transition to the private sector.
Sources tell the New York Post that Barnett and O’Connor will now be representing Spicer for all post-White House “TV deals, business consultancies and speaking appearances.” There is also a potential book deal in the works.
