Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she isn’t going anywhere. The Supreme Court Justice, who has become a cult figure among liberals in recent years, says that she has no plans to leave the courtroom anytime soon, and actually plans to hold her seat for five . more years, until she is at least 90.
“I’m now 85,” Ginsburg said at a recent appearance, according to CNN. “My senior colleague, Justice John Paul Stevens, he stepped down when he was 90, so think I have about at least five more years.”
Ginsburg spoke after the performance of The Originalist, a play about the late Justice Antonin Scalia, who Ginsburg had a grudging friendship with and respect for.
At a post-show discussion of #TheOriginalist in New York (an @arenastage original) Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that she hopes to spend another 5 years on the bench. #Trending https://t.co/OBW7CJzEM0
