A screaming protestor posing as a member of the media tossed a handful of Russian flags at President Trump on Tuesday as he made his way to a GOP policy lunch, The Hill is reporting.
“Why are you talking about tax cuts when you should be talking about treason?” the man, who identified himself as Ryan Clayton of “Americans Take Action,” is heard shouting on videos. He’s also recorded yelling “Trump is treason” as the president walks by; footage shows police detaining him.
ABC News reports that earlier this year, Clayton asked Jared Kushner to sign a Russian flag for him; another stunt included convincing attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference to wave Russian flags during a speech delivered by the president.
The Hill notes that Russian election interference is currently under intense scrutiny led by multiple investigations. President Trump has called these queries a “witch hunt” launched by Democrats because they lost the election.
