After Luther Strange lost Tuesday night in the Alabama special election, multiple outlets are reporting that President Trump deleted tweets he had posted in support of the candidate.

“Big election tomorrow in the Great State of Alabama. Vote for Senator Luther Strange, tough on crime & border — will never let you down!” One of the deleted tweets read.
The president did congratulate evangelical firebrand Roy Moore on his win, offering a nod to Strange in his tweet.

This isn’t the first time the president has erased posts from his timeline. Time notes he also deleted his “covfefe” tweet, as well as a controversial picture of Hillary Clinton. One bill proposed in June would require the president’s tweets to be preserved as part of his presidential records.
