What makes a good teacher? Can a teacher make sure students enjoy themselves and have high standards at the same time? A new study finds that on average, teachers who are good at raising test scores are worse at making kids happy in class. This doesn’t mean that a teacher whose students get good test scores is a not a quality teacher, but it highlights the different ways teachers may be effective. The study also found that teachers have an impact on students’ attitude and behavior.
