Rapper Eminem released a music video on Wednesday for one of the stand-out tracks from his ninth studio album, “River,” leaving viewers with a heavy takeaway. Featuring pop singer Ed Sheeran, the song delves into dark components of a tumultuous relationship Eminem had with a woman who terminated her pregnancy at the singer’s request.
Some of the heavier lyrics read: But I made you terminate my baby/This love triangle left us in a wreck, tangled/What else can I say? It was fun for a while/Bet I really woulda loved your smile/Didn’t really wanna abort, but f-ck it/What’s one more lie, to tell our unborn child?”
