Seats of red velvet, matching plush carpet and gold plated accents are waiting for you aboard the King of Rock ’n’ Roll’s private jet, now up for auction at IronPlanet. Resting—and rusting—on a runway in Roswell, New Mexico, this 1962 Lockheed Jetstar 1329 was one of Elvis’ three private jets, the other two of which are at Graceland.
An auction page for the plane notes that it was privately owned for more than 35 years, and was used as a tourist attraction. It’s missing engines and cockpit components, but the buyer will receive “all FAA documents & invoices showing previous ownership by Elvis Presley.”
We say it’s worth a bid.
