90 MPH? Yeah. Kevlar hull? Uh huh. Champagne cooler? Stocked.

The Chevrolet Corvette C2. Otherwise known as the Sting Ray. Life cycle: four years, starting in 1963. It’s a bona fide, hot-blooded American icon, and unsurprisingly, it’s spawned a few imitator over the years.

But this might be the first one without wheels.

Inspired by the 1967 edition of the Chevy Sting Ray, the new SV Alpha yacht borrows its progentitor’s sleek lines, flared nose and plenty of ruby red trim, from the bottom of the hull to the leather wrapping on the interior. Price tag: north of $800,000.

SV Yachts debuted the boat at the Miami International Boat Show. Touted specs: twin 700-horsepower engines that gun it up to 90 mph on the water — a rip-roaring speed for a 38-foot boat. It’s also got hidden compartments for all your fishing gear, and the metal hardtop can be removed for extra sunning.

There’s also a Champagne cooler. Because you’ll need to pop some bubbly after outrunning everyone on the open waters.
