There’s true genius in the infomercial: It might be the least enjoyable break from that all-night Godfather marathon, but it has proven time and again to do the trick. And that may be something in which it’s worth investing.

According to the Wall Street Journal, one informercial industry king is taking that concept to the bank. Austin, Texas–based Ronco Brands Inc., which produces brands such as the Veg-O-Matic and Pocket Fisherman, filed an initial public offering (IPO) last week in an attempt to raise $30 million. A valuation of the business has been set at $110 million.

Browse the company’s website, and there’s even an infomercial-inspired offer for buying into that IPO: invest over $25,000 in the company, it says, and the first 30 investors will receive a commemorative Ronco book. (That sounds even better than a free seat of steak knives.)
