How Quadriplegic Action Sports Photographer Gets the Perfect Shots

Meet photographer Loren Worthington, who hasn't let spine injury stop him.

A spinal cord injury during a baseball game cost him the use of three of his limbs at the age of 21, and with that, the ability to participate in sports.

However, almost two decades later, photographer Loren Worthington started taking pictures of para-athletes, using a specially designed camera to get the shots with his mouth.

“My best photographs are of people with disabilities, because they saw in me someone they could open up to,” he told Great Big Story.

He has photographed sports around the United States and at the Rio 2016 Paralympics. See how he does it.
