Utilizing a system comprised of tiny custom tracking tags and a smartphone app, Pixie lets users search for their lost items — provided they’ve been tagged — at a distance of up to 150 feet.
Once the Pixie app has a bead on the misplaced item, it will display it on a panoramic maps and give directions with arrows as well as coat the piece’s exact location with AR-infused Pixie dust.
If Tinkerbell isn’t your thing, Pixie can also direct you via a version of the classic hot/cold game.
Designed to be like “like Pokemon Go for your keys,” Pixie’s augmented reality “shows you what you can’t see, even if it’s between the books on the shelf, inside a drawer or in the next room.”
Pixie is arriving on January 25th for Apple users and Android support is due out later this year.
