If you know how to walk a dog, pet a cat or feed a goldfish, your next vacation could be free.
That’s basically the main selling point of TrustedHousesitters, a website that matches travelers who are willing to care for animals with homeowners who need a pet-sitter.
In exchange for a free stay at their match’s home, sitters — who are verified via global identity checks and criminal background checks— must care for their host’s pets while living like a local.
The length of the stay is negotiated by the parties that are involved and the only money that is exchanged is the monthly fee of $9.92 both sides pay to TrustedHousesitters to be members.
Membership includes free access to a 24/7 veterinary advice hotline as well as video profiles of other members and TrustedHousesitters already has almost 60,000 members in 138 countries.
