When your correspondent and a grip of InsideHook staffers first attended, our marketing associate nearly toppled over and took out a whole row of intrepid pedalers with him (true story).
And that was just the warm-up. Fast-forward 45 bass-thumping minutes and we were red in the face, limp in the leg and yet — strangely exhilarated.
That, in a nutshell, is SoulCycle. And on July 26th at 2:00 PM, they’re playing host to you, dear reader, free of charge at their Brentwood studio.
You’ll be joined by Reuben Brody, our man-on-the-ground in LA. He’s a dapper and dimpled Southern gent.
As for SoulCycle: not your mom’s Jazzercise class.
Lighting: moody. Music: thumping. Instructor: somewhere between DJ and drill sergeant, whipping all present parties into a frenzied blur of heaving torsos and centripetal motion.
