Professional slackliner Luka Irmler’s motto is “do one thing every day that scares you,” and he certainly does. Irmler has been putting his life on the (slack)line for almost 10 years now, and his latest stunt might be his most impressive to date.
With the help of photographer Valentin Rapp, Irmler documented himself high-lining 1300-plus feet above the churning waters of Cape Pillar, part of the Tasman Peninsula’s coastline in southeast Australia, on what’s known locally as Desolation Island. It’s also an area known for whale and shark sightings.
Nevertheless, Irmler crosses from one sea cliff to the next, in a balancing act that could be described as both “impressive” and “completely insane.” Scroll down to watch the video.
