For a few shining moments on Monday, Microsoft was king.
Apple’s market value was listed as $812.60 billion on Monday afternoon, a hair below Microsoft’s $812.93 billion, allowing the latter to momentarily own the title of world’s most valuable company.
It’s been eight long years since the last time Microsoft could boast such an achievement, Bloomberg reported.
Apple was the first to hit the $1 trillion mark this past August, but it’s time at that pinnacle was short-lived and the Cupertino, California tech giant’s stock has been on a downward skid since the beginning of November, according to Mashable.
