Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel asked his viewers on Thursday night to help adult film actress Stormy Daniels build a legal fund. Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, created an online fund this week to offset the climbing costs of litigation between herself and President Trump, who she claims she had a 2006 extramarital affair with. As of publication, she has raised $149,177 pledged by 4,967 — but Kimmel says that isn’t enough.

“I never thought giving money to a porn star would be considered to be an act of patriotism — but then again, I also never thought a guy who got in a Twitter war with Cher would become president,” Kimmel quipped.

“And remember, every dollar you donate potentially brings us one step closer to seeing photos that will haunt our dreams forever.”
