What do 52 crushed cars, 16 Greyhound buses and the fountain outside of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas have in common?
Travis Pastrana jumped over ’em on a motorcycle on Sunday night.
During a special on the History Channel, Pastrana replicated three of the most famous jumps in daredevil Evel Knievel’s repertoire.
Riding an Indian Scout FTR750, the 34-year-old freestyle motocross rider dressed in a Knievel-like costume completed the trio of jumps in a single, three-hour period. Though it honored Knievel’s memory, Pastrana’s feat was something even the most famous daredevil in history never accomplished.
“This is all about Evel, and the coolest thing about this whole thing, all of Evel’s family is out here,” Pastrana said. “This is the home of the most iconic jump, one of the most iconic events that has ever gone down. And to end at Caesars Palace, to have a chance to jump the fountain, it’s not the longest jump, but it’s definitely the hardest.”
